Emergence is the word...

I didn't expect to go on such a personal and ultimately cathartic journey when I started this piece………

As an artist, I'm inspired by nature in all its forms. I love trying to capture the spirit and essence of the subject I’m painting.

This majestic elephant has come to signify strength, healing, and dignity……She will always have a special place in my heart. And, I hope, in yours.

I am humbled by how triumphantly she has come to life and emerged from the canvas. And for that reason, I have chosen to call this piece “Emergence”.

I’ve learned so much about myself and my art through her creation. And whenever I see her, she brings me a sense of peace, calm, and light.

I am often blown away by the direction my work takes me. I might begin with a precise idea of what I want to create. But then my brush takes a different turn, and the results can be far more magical than I ever imagined.

“Emergence” is a wonderful example of the journey we both went on.

Having completed “Emergence”, I worked with Grace by Design and HP Distribution and am humbled and honored to present her as a Decoupage paper.
